In one of my previous post, I mentioned how I learned to crochet so that I could make a necklace. I took this course from Robin Dudley Howes, <a href="https://jeanneoliver.com/courses/eclectic-beaded-crochet-jewelry/"><span style="color: cyan;">Eclectic Beaded Crochet Jewelry</span>.</a> The on-line course is hosted on Jeanne Oliver's <span style="color: cyan;">web site.</span> This is my second crochet necklace/bracelet I've made.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I just gathered up bits and pieces of beads, buttons, ribbon and charms and did a simple chain stitch to put it all together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKtsNFpHn_ytFkmeNS5MrIaeolVYGWqp0dgN8B4oYYjlO7V2MSWfTS0p7XgsSxcpAQvtmshmk58LrvQuS9DfCX9r6tkTzEUf0E_-YD1ePRiAbyds_Nhy_aPy6A4VppA52uk5KAztxGB-JD/s1600/braclet+view.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1170" height="295" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKtsNFpHn_ytFkmeNS5MrIaeolVYGWqp0dgN8B4oYYjlO7V2MSWfTS0p7XgsSxcpAQvtmshmk58LrvQuS9DfCX9r6tkTzEUf0E_-YD1ePRiAbyds_Nhy_aPy6A4VppA52uk5KAztxGB-JD/s320/braclet+view.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
You could wear it as a necklace or wrap it around your wrist many times for a bracelet. It's a fun quick project and a great way to use up some of your beads and buttons.<br />

<br />
I also wanted to share my next project - a top I made from a table cloth.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx6mo45JE8lj_t8UOWcwtjusQSWBi4Ig6jEZ4rY-SGzFQGuWD7yiWWPZ_CtwZGh3CZ7ksyC9sw9KwePdtk7iCjbW40C-RhsOlZd0L8kkhYH313_zKi90UbW5xHOv8GUfAxcOB92ZFd-KW4/s1600/table+cloth.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="913" data-original-width="1600" height="182" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx6mo45JE8lj_t8UOWcwtjusQSWBi4Ig6jEZ4rY-SGzFQGuWD7yiWWPZ_CtwZGh3CZ7ksyC9sw9KwePdtk7iCjbW40C-RhsOlZd0L8kkhYH313_zKi90UbW5xHOv8GUfAxcOB92ZFd-KW4/s320/table+cloth.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I was at a garage sale and saw this beautiful April Cornell oval table cloth. I loved the colors and thought that would make an adorable top or tote. So for $7, my sister Diana and I bought it and split it. I couldn't find a pattern I liked, so I mimicked a top I bought at Target and made this top.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I found this matching color fringe at Joann's that I thought added a fun touch.</div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Back view</td></tr>

Not sure if I like the front or back better, but I can probably wear them both ways.<br />
<br />
And last but not least, in most of my free time I've been quilting. While in Hawaii a few months ago, we learned this quilting technique called Paper Piecing. I've been addicted to it and love working on it all the time.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvMBped259Nyfejf3WNkfWiq_9mDb4VxdtNCrDmbdlj-0usPCiRIPQ-6qcCKAh8HqYy0N-p6yxZR4Oh-VG19ZSDt_xS8OaLYA7aaO3yYvDdcuIf5qwcZFb_YjzfATAkYkFMTzGHA55jPeB/s1600/SAM_1332.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvMBped259Nyfejf3WNkfWiq_9mDb4VxdtNCrDmbdlj-0usPCiRIPQ-6qcCKAh8HqYy0N-p6yxZR4Oh-VG19ZSDt_xS8OaLYA7aaO3yYvDdcuIf5qwcZFb_YjzfATAkYkFMTzGHA55jPeB/s320/SAM_1332.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
These are my square pieces of black and white fabric all cut up and ready to sew.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUoe7SFy13Z3tGpuduaEHlxMJ4m4dGfa6dZrcOy6_fIlbgTnhRRMjyUFiVo1x6S42OiccTaTUGCHa_JjrGBVu5xIvzvAMjKDjDLqrBZib0eSLzFM-PwPj5nB3Y__Qxy4WMYjpjHJorPIWl/s1600/SAM_1336.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUoe7SFy13Z3tGpuduaEHlxMJ4m4dGfa6dZrcOy6_fIlbgTnhRRMjyUFiVo1x6S42OiccTaTUGCHa_JjrGBVu5xIvzvAMjKDjDLqrBZib0eSLzFM-PwPj5nB3Y__Qxy4WMYjpjHJorPIWl/s320/SAM_1336.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I baste each fabric square around some paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY34O2LsSilue8PMWxXAG2RLQi-tGzjsE8mSYk-Ce0RPP04K37F86pFEyF1O-wweyPD9OsEpsJIyJHrQZsu9i7UTqpUvnVeJZoc2mhC40HqlwSaB1gB0B2QTgxy0e2FUJLHNfa_ZSs7M9P/s1600/SAM_1333.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY34O2LsSilue8PMWxXAG2RLQi-tGzjsE8mSYk-Ce0RPP04K37F86pFEyF1O-wweyPD9OsEpsJIyJHrQZsu9i7UTqpUvnVeJZoc2mhC40HqlwSaB1gB0B2QTgxy0e2FUJLHNfa_ZSs7M9P/s320/SAM_1333.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
And then I'm hand sewing them into 9 block squares. I need to make 54 of these blocks and I'm about half way there. Then there's lots of white blocks I need to surround these blocks with and I haven't started those yet. So, I figure I'm about a year away from finishing this quilt, but that's okay, it's so fun to work on. :-)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Have a great week!</div>

I made a couple more shrink plastic projects, from Stephanie Rubiano's Danity Diorama class.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL9_y6SC_wbMVMXuQ-J_2Vi0Fjt7KdRfUCm4uwkgmUU-tkDru_FUHDWILfj5QNkMpzHB4yQvt_AiXPmy2uP9y1ZwQoPyKg5IfJ1OPvMj3pry97XnhoOq59BK6_EHcu8bUlpRyf0x41iZ8Q/s1600/mini+girl.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="945" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL9_y6SC_wbMVMXuQ-J_2Vi0Fjt7KdRfUCm4uwkgmUU-tkDru_FUHDWILfj5QNkMpzHB4yQvt_AiXPmy2uP9y1ZwQoPyKg5IfJ1OPvMj3pry97XnhoOq59BK6_EHcu8bUlpRyf0x41iZ8Q/s400/mini+girl.jpg" width="236" /></a></div>
As you know, I primarily create with black and white and then like to add a bit of color.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWC6cEmDuSS1ErI-ObQ5x4-hgqGUOl2mmhlTN4VFivb5r-A_It-YgpEqlRHmWa_6ADPeosfr4rgheHxa9VqvB13Ps1KKssycKEVLRtysT-RvPijjmiTjiCYWPuX_Ewkdwg995pAe789V6q/s1600/rabbit+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1020" data-original-width="648" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWC6cEmDuSS1ErI-ObQ5x4-hgqGUOl2mmhlTN4VFivb5r-A_It-YgpEqlRHmWa_6ADPeosfr4rgheHxa9VqvB13Ps1KKssycKEVLRtysT-RvPijjmiTjiCYWPuX_Ewkdwg995pAe789V6q/s400/rabbit+6.jpg" width="253" /></a></div>
These pieces are about 2" x 3" (excluding the stand on the first piece). Shrink plastic makes for creating very small projects. :-)<br />

Stephanie Rubiano posted a free workshop on <a href="http://studiorubianoworkshops.com/cloche-encounters/"><span style="color: cyan;">Cloche Encounters of the Miniature kind</span></a>. Using shrink plastic and Tim Holtz's Ideology dome, I made this teenie tiny project. The dome is about an 1" wide and about an 1" tall.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNhWM7SBAaHriY0a6Pjx3XXrlubb1ExCqJr-Tdk8G4e4PyPrsNmozGzRPN7hJRa88aOAn2U3fhJmilXLP-Rc0xGJjiSgt6RKElacLNf_k3BRhBs5BLV18FxAANIRMV5GlHtkz1fkgvu2NE/s1600/shrink+dome.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1446" data-original-width="1056" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNhWM7SBAaHriY0a6Pjx3XXrlubb1ExCqJr-Tdk8G4e4PyPrsNmozGzRPN7hJRa88aOAn2U3fhJmilXLP-Rc0xGJjiSgt6RKElacLNf_k3BRhBs5BLV18FxAANIRMV5GlHtkz1fkgvu2NE/s400/shrink+dome.jpg" width="291" /></a></div>
That's probably the smallest project I've ever made. Check out her free on-line tutorial on how to make this mini dome project.<br />
<br />
I'm also taking an on-line class on Eclectic Beaded Crochet from Robin Dudley-Howes. I didn't know how to crochet before this class, but it's actually pretty simple.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikaFCBpkVkkk2nk6C1tMqEroy0SoHGuKL0Cfxb8x71siFbQuFhnORXw6QtQktrNgStxOKIVaO2H2M0597r2AfVyF2zvO99epPzDAQOjUCSt5yJqQ3infZ2hjP0lRhyN35JuqIpzMmWiPPv/s1600/SAM_1305.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikaFCBpkVkkk2nk6C1tMqEroy0SoHGuKL0Cfxb8x71siFbQuFhnORXw6QtQktrNgStxOKIVaO2H2M0597r2AfVyF2zvO99epPzDAQOjUCSt5yJqQ3infZ2hjP0lRhyN35JuqIpzMmWiPPv/s320/SAM_1305.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I'm starting with a simple white pearl necklace.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEic__95Y6RBy4qqq-xWcQ-xmZ73oifTtWK5ocSC_aqnn4t8TKOM9-vGCSU_QxxjfA6FPwHiEX9OeELgJABvF_3cXxKFxYWymEiuHz30yoDaPXU8AwT3AwzD5vIdOLkLsAGjL3rwdr1buoa2/s1600/SAM_1307.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEic__95Y6RBy4qqq-xWcQ-xmZ73oifTtWK5ocSC_aqnn4t8TKOM9-vGCSU_QxxjfA6FPwHiEX9OeELgJABvF_3cXxKFxYWymEiuHz30yoDaPXU8AwT3AwzD5vIdOLkLsAGjL3rwdr1buoa2/s320/SAM_1307.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Now, I'm collecting bits and pieces for my next crochet necklace, trying to find unusual pieces that will go together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMYvHk7utyYke16J5qaT_4Tb3C7sdL2m0B29emZesPIz3onJmZltugMrM7iqPdcXD8H7-6-Agvh8qCZb1deDH1zx38QCwqzE_oUOf4_BMe38ZtDANFNbr8oL5XzWcY15HMWycLg3iMEUA7/s1600/SAM_1308.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMYvHk7utyYke16J5qaT_4Tb3C7sdL2m0B29emZesPIz3onJmZltugMrM7iqPdcXD8H7-6-Agvh8qCZb1deDH1zx38QCwqzE_oUOf4_BMe38ZtDANFNbr8oL5XzWcY15HMWycLg3iMEUA7/s320/SAM_1308.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
We'll see what kind of necklace I can make with various bits and pieces.</div>

I made another Dainty Diorama this weekend, thanks to Stephanie Rubiano on-line class. Shrink Plastic is so much fun and using Time Holtz's Ideology vignette boxes makes it so easy.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaisOjW9pLc39CVtI3ABb5XNzD578kzWZkx5N1EXoh5a4yYzJjTwZtbUma1GeZ39Pfjus6dA-QlszYU0NSpit_CM1mKnvpG57c80wSs697pRnRj20BXRN9MfHTyuGKcERDNM8mD-2NxXsC/s1600/Shrink+Plastic+boy+box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1079" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaisOjW9pLc39CVtI3ABb5XNzD578kzWZkx5N1EXoh5a4yYzJjTwZtbUma1GeZ39Pfjus6dA-QlszYU0NSpit_CM1mKnvpG57c80wSs697pRnRj20BXRN9MfHTyuGKcERDNM8mD-2NxXsC/s400/Shrink+Plastic+boy+box.jpg" width="268" /></a></div>
My sister, Diana, is also taking this class and here's the adorable project she made. Mushrooms are her passion - she goes mushroom hunting, loves to cook with mushrooms and collects mushroom items!<br />

These are so fun to make - hope you give it a try.<br />

I'm taking this adorable "<a href="https://jeanneoliver.com/courses/dainty-dioramas/"><span style="color: cyan;">Danity Diorama</span></a>" on-line class from Stephanie Rubiano. Of course I have to use my black and white striped washi tape for the box border.<br />

The girl and wings are actually shrink plastic. This box is only 5" x 3". I love this class, Stephanie shares lots of tips and tricks that I didn't know!<br />
<br />
Hope you're having a great long weekend.</div>

I'm so excited and proud that my daughter, Rachel, appeared on the Today Show last week. My daughter has a YouTube channel, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/kawaiisweetworld"><span style="color: cyan;">KawaiiSweetWorld</span></a>, where she bakes cute looking desserts. A couple weeks ago the Today Show reached out to her to see if she would demonstrate a couple of her recipes. Rachel and I went to New York this past week for the taping.<br />
<br />
Here's the segment that was aired on TV.<br />

We had a great time in New York and it was such an experience to be at the NBC studios! Here's some pictures from our trip and some behind the scene shots.<br />

I'm taking the 2nd in a series of Wendy Brightbill's on-line class, called "<a href="http://agirlandherbrush.com/"><span style="color: cyan;">All Things Paper 2</span></a>". I'm having so much fun making these collage floral pieces. I made these small pieces on 3"x5" index card dividers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIlOVWyIwOA7NdC744YVe0_cPN81qIgdOj_I_bJp-uDWdsub2l-7kyuppYU-lvtX1t83r417_R_n7DXocHkCf9yPu0kY8k_7Mstg3oHTwcwaQmpm5FAeeDJR7YlyUr5ItxslHrFZelJgMq/s1600/set+of+6+mini+flower+collages.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1086" height="397" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIlOVWyIwOA7NdC744YVe0_cPN81qIgdOj_I_bJp-uDWdsub2l-7kyuppYU-lvtX1t83r417_R_n7DXocHkCf9yPu0kY8k_7Mstg3oHTwcwaQmpm5FAeeDJR7YlyUr5ItxslHrFZelJgMq/s400/set+of+6+mini+flower+collages.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I made the collage below using an old calendar as the background.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGJKwfqJlTNq92-JI57Nq-Xsk9ddaz72Ft6a8yVsEfJpTNQGEHEyATBWmw5Pv2me6bpeJPI57K2osvbYwnTAeE_aydp2wvybtG6X1isjbnuRqDBVg5Uqzhu4vMwhftmDxjwS-MwndJ4sS1/s1600/flowers+in+vase.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1026" data-original-width="1206" height="340" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGJKwfqJlTNq92-JI57Nq-Xsk9ddaz72Ft6a8yVsEfJpTNQGEHEyATBWmw5Pv2me6bpeJPI57K2osvbYwnTAeE_aydp2wvybtG6X1isjbnuRqDBVg5Uqzhu4vMwhftmDxjwS-MwndJ4sS1/s400/flowers+in+vase.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
And a couple more smaller collages made also on the calendar background.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieBaXSl2DWDHOqCBOdiCQ2KlvsANtx8XPRSi6HJIksQiLMgXuCnT7NBpatYkoo-MURBpAuDMXZibjQ0SGRfJ1XA6DFwZx5UuOFRiv2CaMx-Rp5MO69zbELfpW16phoS-zPusd22Y5uGAJL/s1600/small+calendar+set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1590" height="241" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieBaXSl2DWDHOqCBOdiCQ2KlvsANtx8XPRSi6HJIksQiLMgXuCnT7NBpatYkoo-MURBpAuDMXZibjQ0SGRfJ1XA6DFwZx5UuOFRiv2CaMx-Rp5MO69zbELfpW16phoS-zPusd22Y5uGAJL/s400/small+calendar+set.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

There's sooo many great on-line classes out there. I just found this one from Stephanie Rubiano called, <span style="color: cyan;">"<a href="https://ivynewport.com/fabric-of-time"><span style="color: cyan;">Fabric of Time</span></a>"</span> where you learn to alter cabinet cards. Below are the ones I made...<br />

I've been collecting cabinet cards for a long time, but haven't done much with them, so this class was perfect. Check out the before and after shots.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLAP8ff6TNkB_LONH6xWsoINZfAS1Y0iS67Dn7aQrjDPWlJnAgeh43xh-ng7jfFtE3sG07Gx8j9n1D-4tHuxR7zDVk9x4eJLOAHrvUctV0u3tfmsu7oNVWbyWk9x4DpURDqwPhcaHNYMNo/s1600/SR+project+1+before+and+after.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1062" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLAP8ff6TNkB_LONH6xWsoINZfAS1Y0iS67Dn7aQrjDPWlJnAgeh43xh-ng7jfFtE3sG07Gx8j9n1D-4tHuxR7zDVk9x4eJLOAHrvUctV0u3tfmsu7oNVWbyWk9x4DpURDqwPhcaHNYMNo/s400/SR+project+1+before+and+after.jpg" width="392" /></a></div>
It's really fun what you can do with these images.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-TJ7ZK-v7MAk5_shUS0ezbh6ElLac820dqdhMjPaXk7aWVZ3rs02x-A_Wc2WSqjGfhJEnNVpC6Yglv7Pz_4irXTDbABo7oOGbUzwXS4sM4NpQpx_weoUw4wYb-MHQO0rnGgvK_vcz3sNd/s1600/SR+project+2+before+and+after.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1194" height="361" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-TJ7ZK-v7MAk5_shUS0ezbh6ElLac820dqdhMjPaXk7aWVZ3rs02x-A_Wc2WSqjGfhJEnNVpC6Yglv7Pz_4irXTDbABo7oOGbUzwXS4sM4NpQpx_weoUw4wYb-MHQO0rnGgvK_vcz3sNd/s400/SR+project+2+before+and+after.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
It's a great class and the outcome can be so unique and surprising. I recommend you sign up for this one if you have some vintage cabinet cards lying around.</div>

In my attempt to find new things to do with my Paige paper dolls, I decided to make greeting cards with them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHBqHxCk0Sdx83ORa5gOPr8OxfgtW0ue6wffqUT25gfiqe7GW-4DmZIA_LPkRHTJShe700KNvUJscDVfb_IR3dgR5OxUVJbwUbc55atcPXfasjzq0hBvf2UESXyoR-EcWfM5Yk9Og5StOd/s1600/set+of+small+cards.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHBqHxCk0Sdx83ORa5gOPr8OxfgtW0ue6wffqUT25gfiqe7GW-4DmZIA_LPkRHTJShe700KNvUJscDVfb_IR3dgR5OxUVJbwUbc55atcPXfasjzq0hBvf2UESXyoR-EcWfM5Yk9Og5StOd/s400/set+of+small+cards.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I hand drew some frames on 5.5" x 8.5" mixed media paper.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIaabQ2RhcyAlrpUKDw8cshhx_Dm3aY2yNRwatL9O3c2HywS3vreWTgkYYgvo7J_1wHFGuIXcdhPQQmiI74yRx8bHbPMhYl9skTG3fVJFDXSq5gumVyBUGm0VOlEu3XOw2Y7y6GGcSGvds/s1600/just+frames.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIaabQ2RhcyAlrpUKDw8cshhx_Dm3aY2yNRwatL9O3c2HywS3vreWTgkYYgvo7J_1wHFGuIXcdhPQQmiI74yRx8bHbPMhYl9skTG3fVJFDXSq5gumVyBUGm0VOlEu3XOw2Y7y6GGcSGvds/s400/just+frames.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Then I glued some of my paper dolls on top.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLGKTfbvKkoO2BMJxCLj3TXKp_5hrikCeWGlxl7wt3TKDLidUgZP9gPvaGWthpv985m2YMV2-eOxg81ToKv2az4soF-U2Xlx82sOqsjSYcZMu5eOrK_PURb-Ht531rztzxL1ElKkgrwVoG/s1600/original+size+cards+all.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1464" height="295" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLGKTfbvKkoO2BMJxCLj3TXKp_5hrikCeWGlxl7wt3TKDLidUgZP9gPvaGWthpv985m2YMV2-eOxg81ToKv2az4soF-U2Xlx82sOqsjSYcZMu5eOrK_PURb-Ht531rztzxL1ElKkgrwVoG/s400/original+size+cards+all.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Next I scanned each one and reduced them in size to be 4"x5". Finally, I printed some greetings and hand drew some flags around them. This way you can personalize your cards for any occasion.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcDzXq5BNFEZZz0RbaZjzpMP4yE6dJwtpDS_w-IOOzURh1WTivK1_0aIxf2eityRdO6nLoibUdpv-UhtlSj0NnAq6i-XBOavK_fPhEiIjjkY0R09bnghpgOwHzz2GOSB3K7XwkS2xSOVg_/s1600/one+cards+with+many+greetings.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="994" data-original-width="1600" height="247" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcDzXq5BNFEZZz0RbaZjzpMP4yE6dJwtpDS_w-IOOzURh1WTivK1_0aIxf2eityRdO6nLoibUdpv-UhtlSj0NnAq6i-XBOavK_fPhEiIjjkY0R09bnghpgOwHzz2GOSB3K7XwkS2xSOVg_/s400/one+cards+with+many+greetings.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: left;">The cards will be printed without the greeting. Then you can cut out your own greeting you want to use and glue it on the card yourself.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNQBmxck4bVpubVN2fyP0BTtWEWuaHP163P81RtJANdohE4R71MQZAl3MxDoaOashBrTyHnl7ucaoPpSDnF1LBPEHO3qBFk3XSPZRKvYqGw8AUtx8K594bTMHCejsdR0v1aBM_hWNRH1dV/s1600/cards+for+mailing.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="973" data-original-width="1600" height="242" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNQBmxck4bVpubVN2fyP0BTtWEWuaHP163P81RtJANdohE4R71MQZAl3MxDoaOashBrTyHnl7ucaoPpSDnF1LBPEHO3qBFk3XSPZRKvYqGw8AUtx8K594bTMHCejsdR0v1aBM_hWNRH1dV/s400/cards+for+mailing.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another project you can make with these cards are mini journals.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju6cvmX43B_X_rwUH8Qv8RBoApljmpc3JsP6lO3R7GfP0NMOMkTJlOamfC4b0fa8XvEznlLgJGF5u8xLsOfFVsk6QktR1d85NoeF9S1CNmK44t8jrW_-xlaGjuwreTabtf8LH1oeTxFl6_/s1600/journal+it+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1056" data-original-width="1560" height="270" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju6cvmX43B_X_rwUH8Qv8RBoApljmpc3JsP6lO3R7GfP0NMOMkTJlOamfC4b0fa8XvEznlLgJGF5u8xLsOfFVsk6QktR1d85NoeF9S1CNmK44t8jrW_-xlaGjuwreTabtf8LH1oeTxFl6_/s400/journal+it+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Gather up some miscellaneous junk papers and fold them in half.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEXNdqtApLY2NZowkRWvrn63a6FokBgW1NFZOrHhod4sGastZJJc_0-dGShum2hYu2Ekfhaiy9ncIc6Ed2qj2lCt2D-feH_eqn14eEaTB6zqFuQC7zDBLt_01tkVAGqWN4q5H3Ao7nO4cy/s1600/journal+it+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="942" data-original-width="1146" height="328" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEXNdqtApLY2NZowkRWvrn63a6FokBgW1NFZOrHhod4sGastZJJc_0-dGShum2hYu2Ekfhaiy9ncIc6Ed2qj2lCt2D-feH_eqn14eEaTB6zqFuQC7zDBLt_01tkVAGqWN4q5H3Ao7nO4cy/s400/journal+it+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Put the junk papers inside the card and trim around the sides or you can make them different sizes, which would add more interest too.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8Z4Bune7SPeySnlsymkDEzZxTVEmaJQLK3ZvCgoN6Szv26V6UMruZnOFJaQTrD0EHAlkIeFUg71NQbfi2jFcKAQJDkiAqv8D0ijaEsXcEwpPJGQEkOLY8AMLtdjKYemBHHnNhjBj3jJfs/s1600/journal+it+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="820" data-original-width="1600" height="205" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8Z4Bune7SPeySnlsymkDEzZxTVEmaJQLK3ZvCgoN6Szv26V6UMruZnOFJaQTrD0EHAlkIeFUg71NQbfi2jFcKAQJDkiAqv8D0ijaEsXcEwpPJGQEkOLY8AMLtdjKYemBHHnNhjBj3jJfs/s400/journal+it+3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
With all the junk papers stacked inside the card, use a stapler and staple the pages to the card down the middle seam.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCPXxfXaSHjkGntG7iP5nwsA4Ujj5iZiClFZc8RI9D7GI_t4tfwuhVc-uzomUnBVa3VCPq_0vQ2dvAqdzl20UYSyXdAKtJqYo6KhAefRpTSfxFWbemqbisnWUU-o5-NkUaMQl9ewwg1XIJ/s1600/journal+it+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="954" data-original-width="1518" height="251" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCPXxfXaSHjkGntG7iP5nwsA4Ujj5iZiClFZc8RI9D7GI_t4tfwuhVc-uzomUnBVa3VCPq_0vQ2dvAqdzl20UYSyXdAKtJqYo6KhAefRpTSfxFWbemqbisnWUU-o5-NkUaMQl9ewwg1XIJ/s400/journal+it+4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Pictured above is the inside center of the mini journal.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwSV2qq6FUXkIepgJtG3Pz3hrm-NVKd38vfrQMRZdt-TKp2_Ba5WhOgsMiY6UTdjFnh0bynscGTftjKcQGQrsyAnETu3L60EWx60H8N8xM82Y07sqOcZ1m0uxsekjDhHNFaNXhfzAfm_5o/s1600/journal+it+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwSV2qq6FUXkIepgJtG3Pz3hrm-NVKd38vfrQMRZdt-TKp2_Ba5WhOgsMiY6UTdjFnh0bynscGTftjKcQGQrsyAnETu3L60EWx60H8N8xM82Y07sqOcZ1m0uxsekjDhHNFaNXhfzAfm_5o/s400/journal+it+5.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And now you can have 14 mini journal books to make as well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm planing to sell the set of 14 different Paige doll cards with a sheet of greetings and envelopes for $24 + shipping. If you buy 2 sets, you'll get a free roll of my Paige doll washi tape (while supplies last).</div>

"<a href="https://class.wendybrightbill.studio/p/all-things-paper"><span style="color: cyan;">All Things Paper</span></a>", is the name of my latest on-line class I'm taking from Wendy Brightbill.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkxRyf8d7HMeJoYdI4yljgJwhHNhyphenhyphenPlVMP3tvhCIAPBPlI5iX5FxueWZIm5tQ1LBWen-IqCzzVZlIhbm6tUD8mSvqjiOzvjv651t85c3aRKxWi6et4oWAGC01-hamdw-ZJj8y6BwZUK-z7/s1600/roses+on+journal+pages.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1036" data-original-width="1600" height="258" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkxRyf8d7HMeJoYdI4yljgJwhHNhyphenhyphenPlVMP3tvhCIAPBPlI5iX5FxueWZIm5tQ1LBWen-IqCzzVZlIhbm6tUD8mSvqjiOzvjv651t85c3aRKxWi6et4oWAGC01-hamdw-ZJj8y6BwZUK-z7/s400/roses+on+journal+pages.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
We're learning how to paint abstract loose florals on vintage media, build some collage pieces, create a felted journal and so much more. Below is a picture of a floral I painted on a copy of a journal cover.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcO-feQsNlPjdCKwWhyphenhyphenKclgZnnLe8B6kf9u9Jww9H2k1El0Xdpv721Cyp3dJVW8a-1zOAV_pkPDGhmTIL6QUoMdnma604CciulAkYEN2eFQdjG0JgllClMHETl3y0Sfgc2trNznkwPUbKG/s1600/journal+cover.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1248" data-original-width="1080" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcO-feQsNlPjdCKwWhyphenhyphenKclgZnnLe8B6kf9u9Jww9H2k1El0Xdpv721Cyp3dJVW8a-1zOAV_pkPDGhmTIL6QUoMdnma604CciulAkYEN2eFQdjG0JgllClMHETl3y0Sfgc2trNznkwPUbKG/s400/journal+cover.jpg" width="345" /></a></div>
Abstract florals on black gesso.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDegt3JZbnl6y6nE4fEFHlpg3V1iURKBy0p1Ei_HKB7QqvZy5PUH9hqA9b6Dm-bHRQGhefKsPaq-SS6U9yRtavCfdBSVrEm-XthTubujFoq1Gam3sX9UKESYXqRfBNIR_LLyXPyQXtcVbi/s1600/roses+on+black+gesso.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="996" data-original-width="1242" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDegt3JZbnl6y6nE4fEFHlpg3V1iURKBy0p1Ei_HKB7QqvZy5PUH9hqA9b6Dm-bHRQGhefKsPaq-SS6U9yRtavCfdBSVrEm-XthTubujFoq1Gam3sX9UKESYXqRfBNIR_LLyXPyQXtcVbi/s400/roses+on+black+gesso.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
It's fun to paint knowing it's not a realistic image, but just your impression. :-)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVLeKxo7VSEf7ycG7u6FWcEw_nM75obUuBe-YKW-GyNVprJKZCUuEM-DcNX_7MmSnRPiCUFTXOGEnLy0-6zajOJ0yJK0ACmxnYf9Ekr0fGkj1Az73Yx5LcvX93_0OhyphenhyphensfupEOsunAHvK93/s1600/roses+on+white+paper.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1506" height="286" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVLeKxo7VSEf7ycG7u6FWcEw_nM75obUuBe-YKW-GyNVprJKZCUuEM-DcNX_7MmSnRPiCUFTXOGEnLy0-6zajOJ0yJK0ACmxnYf9Ekr0fGkj1Az73Yx5LcvX93_0OhyphenhyphensfupEOsunAHvK93/s400/roses+on+white+paper.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll try to scan these images and turn them into greeting cards, notebooks or something. I'm in the process of making the felted journals - stay tuned.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope you're having a good week!</div>

I'm taking Kelly Rae Roberts on-line class called.<a href="http://www.kellyraeroberts.com/ecourses/"> <span style="color: cyan;">Hello Soul, Hello Mixed Media Mantras</span></a> and I just love it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

These are all the pieces I've made so far on canvas boards. I'm glad I found another use for my Paige dolls.<br />
Here's some close up shots...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJglpHVAcJg8GSgXoFEWF9baxfwh_v_2RO3NZaXBJwDJiwCY4Y_zwqhX-qTC6CJwkOUMedzejDNkHY3wSQ22PPJxeKxXnJz9prLg2sWt9g7g0pQ4q2sAI2wiAZcmkQ9Pn9YyzdVpqOxgF_/s1600/2+large+ones.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="823" data-original-width="1600" height="205" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJglpHVAcJg8GSgXoFEWF9baxfwh_v_2RO3NZaXBJwDJiwCY4Y_zwqhX-qTC6CJwkOUMedzejDNkHY3wSQ22PPJxeKxXnJz9prLg2sWt9g7g0pQ4q2sAI2wiAZcmkQ9Pn9YyzdVpqOxgF_/s400/2+large+ones.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
As you might have noticed, I re-used some of my older girls I painted in my large journal and embellished them a bit more.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiowgiirp02TJWFZKv4bkOlUHKt7INpOeb8c87yYhCNA28LU2_NemDIRPCKY5JjnsFlf9nh2RbCzbPyA3aNrEequqw3DNqMZyHjJ2tv78vQq0Pe8cneKbsJ8TYAu94MaUAXOqPlzgpA3dU/s1600/bird+on+head.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1063" data-original-width="1600" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiowgiirp02TJWFZKv4bkOlUHKt7INpOeb8c87yYhCNA28LU2_NemDIRPCKY5JjnsFlf9nh2RbCzbPyA3aNrEequqw3DNqMZyHjJ2tv78vQq0Pe8cneKbsJ8TYAu94MaUAXOqPlzgpA3dU/s400/bird+on+head.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I really had fun with the collage pieces - the bird above the the flower below. It's a great way to use up scrap pieces.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2RaXnkwOkrpQE0w9ZYgRoNaFdupDyo-wFHbNjkaBw881ue4EpkJlJ9EsnoPyH0YyAB-Ja0jY-RCQZN3h28Bl6gUlWtyaksGnKpngCg9xxkvx2qUOo7Qf8jICuOVJ8aoyef-ufypAEcK7W/s1600/collage+flower.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1055" data-original-width="1600" height="263" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2RaXnkwOkrpQE0w9ZYgRoNaFdupDyo-wFHbNjkaBw881ue4EpkJlJ9EsnoPyH0YyAB-Ja0jY-RCQZN3h28Bl6gUlWtyaksGnKpngCg9xxkvx2qUOo7Qf8jICuOVJ8aoyef-ufypAEcK7W/s400/collage+flower.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I made pieces from 12"x12" to very small 2"x2" pieces.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUqab-ZmrMrsilt7Iw2bGJAzOxtH-ffwyzXPQDTWm6CAntIqIPFUTjywUEr6fed-c1y8dlbhsGY2GKL9aUK491vgwaDWvbupatUpaYZe9Lv3TTSZ2Ked1CWc2N9hQJ5RhLABPMtWMn3Hv-/s1600/five+small+ones.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1056" data-original-width="1188" height="355" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUqab-ZmrMrsilt7Iw2bGJAzOxtH-ffwyzXPQDTWm6CAntIqIPFUTjywUEr6fed-c1y8dlbhsGY2GKL9aUK491vgwaDWvbupatUpaYZe9Lv3TTSZ2Ked1CWc2N9hQJ5RhLABPMtWMn3Hv-/s400/five+small+ones.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I used vintage wall paper and floral napkins for some of the background images.<br />

Finding floral napkins is a fun hobby. They work great on collage pieces, as long as you separate all the napkins layers and only use the very top printed layer...which will be very transparent.<br />

Thanks to Mindy Lacefield's class on "Create your own Washi Tape, Stickers and Pouches", I now have some of my own Paige Doll washi tape for sale...how cool is that?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizvQqQMt6zVoMtmEk3rOFThrwu3BWoZIys5mpSnnFGGTwr9foZwcki65DHUVjXduWvMFKhBpiW2hUb8iad4loXrQNLO2jOOPsvTYlxysP-xHwun2CxSZ7OACbG7qPAHm1eZCO-01n1BYn7/s1600/washi+1+-+Copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1320" height="326" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizvQqQMt6zVoMtmEk3rOFThrwu3BWoZIys5mpSnnFGGTwr9foZwcki65DHUVjXduWvMFKhBpiW2hUb8iad4loXrQNLO2jOOPsvTYlxysP-xHwun2CxSZ7OACbG7qPAHm1eZCO-01n1BYn7/s400/washi+1+-+Copy.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The washi tape is a 1" wide and 32 feet long and has 5 of my Paige paper doll designs printed on them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHSoWxvwtmIV3OgO0PQJTy7GPx_qXver_Zxv7c1Zq4O-Qsv_50HuQCSWon8XDQpTndca5RIBo6Ek5q-KxHNgPueKZo_oqg1L7Dr3QtGqldDJqZW10zXknUakHByfR-vOyiR0QPRyKklkN-/s1600/washi+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1040" data-original-width="1232" height="337" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHSoWxvwtmIV3OgO0PQJTy7GPx_qXver_Zxv7c1Zq4O-Qsv_50HuQCSWon8XDQpTndca5RIBo6Ek5q-KxHNgPueKZo_oqg1L7Dr3QtGqldDJqZW10zXknUakHByfR-vOyiR0QPRyKklkN-/s400/washi+4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
It's so amazing to see my original Paige paper dolls next to the washi tape with the same design- it's like magic. :-)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I'm really impressed with the quality of the washi tape, just like store bought. The color is great, it tears easy with just your fingers and sticks well to paper.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

They're great to use on your planner, manila tag or any scrap paper where you need just a little girl embellishment.<br />
<br />
I'm selling them for $5 a roll plus shipping. Message me at artfulplay@gmail.com if you would like to purchase a roll.<br />
<br />
Hope you had a great weekend!</div>

I've been wanting to make something with tea bags, because I love the color and texture of the bag. I don't drink tea, but my girl friend saved me her used bags and so I was all set.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYhYpQrt9D4omzafJYJtgLSjMLC4DKMJhD22A9Hc6cKLSoweqXwCcHJwgYwWqRyx1REAbnJCkZV-Wj5TahnT1FnmomZtKhWjhZeTh1rcefvJttEZ24-CuGfH1DkBIdSelOmG0oWDkXipWr/s1600/tea+bags+drying.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYhYpQrt9D4omzafJYJtgLSjMLC4DKMJhD22A9Hc6cKLSoweqXwCcHJwgYwWqRyx1REAbnJCkZV-Wj5TahnT1FnmomZtKhWjhZeTh1rcefvJttEZ24-CuGfH1DkBIdSelOmG0oWDkXipWr/s400/tea+bags+drying.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I dried them out on a rack and then carefully opened up the bags and dumped out the tea leaves.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjlstoRN3Wzf_7GARO3WOQyJr0Hp8tLSburEpq69ilp8IZXHujsBhQ2L0cwPHSpKCt0UN1msdmYeBzofXU1kucayY8ekipJx6VwbM-uAFVOw0UV3mR3g8FBtMshVh-vDHIOw6RSn4Gyz02/s1600/empty+tea+bags.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1440" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjlstoRN3Wzf_7GARO3WOQyJr0Hp8tLSburEpq69ilp8IZXHujsBhQ2L0cwPHSpKCt0UN1msdmYeBzofXU1kucayY8ekipJx6VwbM-uAFVOw0UV3mR3g8FBtMshVh-vDHIOw6RSn4Gyz02/s400/empty+tea+bags.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I saved the tags too,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I used a liquid adhesive, like mod podge and adhered the tea bag to various printed tissue papers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For my first piece I decided to use one of the images from Tim Holtz's vintage paper doll pack.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut pieces of the tea bag to make dresses for each of the girls.</div>

I love most things that are black and white and irregular dots are one of my favorite patterns. I fell in love with this planter my sister, Diana, bought me from Anthropology.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxtnqy-lDebO7zrcHX2Lvr9Ez2ZF-ngoJguYLafYQEiJKQUN1SfMWGTEcTYDtQ4WVLS5UiEInOP7McazJuJdyWYd9dg3jXofVV3B_7vAH-fv5cdBSZSMssadkw_zGyUweKMSDcq-o0ZLZG/s1600/empty+vace.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1428" data-original-width="810" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxtnqy-lDebO7zrcHX2Lvr9Ez2ZF-ngoJguYLafYQEiJKQUN1SfMWGTEcTYDtQ4WVLS5UiEInOP7McazJuJdyWYd9dg3jXofVV3B_7vAH-fv5cdBSZSMssadkw_zGyUweKMSDcq-o0ZLZG/s400/empty+vace.jpg" width="226" /></a></div>
I filled it was some assorted pink flowers...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfi2EkuyKfKgOBmM-Mhb-xvdKZASkarIYsUvNVqaxoN_K21UZ5szQjGF6D0M9YhYRgDEtVw8hsj-yaeiq5DKgJQYqIcBzwwxHYsuZWHTs-HW67WIBGDRLQd4A_TC7DrJ-iMmXF-9MLTDX4/s1600/vace+with+flowers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1572" data-original-width="894" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfi2EkuyKfKgOBmM-Mhb-xvdKZASkarIYsUvNVqaxoN_K21UZ5szQjGF6D0M9YhYRgDEtVw8hsj-yaeiq5DKgJQYqIcBzwwxHYsuZWHTs-HW67WIBGDRLQd4A_TC7DrJ-iMmXF-9MLTDX4/s400/vace+with+flowers.jpg" width="226" /></a></div>
And then I thought it was still missing something, so I embellished her dress.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I'm really happy with how it came out. Thanks Diana for thinking of me when you saw this!<br />
<br />
And speaking of my love for black and white. I just put out my new polka dot rug I got from our sample sale awhile back and a new blanket I picked up from Target this weekend! It's so fun hunting for new black and white items for my home.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

As you might have read in my last post, I took a great class from Mindy Lacefield on how to make your own stickers, washi tape and pouch using your own art work. Well, I got my first product back - Stickers!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE4_34Fi8iKw7rRUqgOx3D1FxbH4AO5zEEhKxq1m6LLNijlQY99rYYk_6d9lNklTXuaTAR5TI4dAw4FJTyjkjywAoeHmumUcsprQvBCYbysWnTCkO58uynNrFc3moAWlZ0YFWEHKTrNZvs/s1600/sticker+sheets.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE4_34Fi8iKw7rRUqgOx3D1FxbH4AO5zEEhKxq1m6LLNijlQY99rYYk_6d9lNklTXuaTAR5TI4dAw4FJTyjkjywAoeHmumUcsprQvBCYbysWnTCkO58uynNrFc3moAWlZ0YFWEHKTrNZvs/s400/sticker+sheets.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I have two sizes, 5"x7" and 8.5"x11". On the smaller sheet, the doll heights are about 3" tall and 1" wide. On the larger sheet, the doll heights are about 4" tall and 2" wide. The paper has a matte finish and good weight to it. I really love how they turned out!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Happy New Years! I'm starting off the new year by taking this fun on-line class from one of my favorite artist, Mindy Lacefield, "<a href="http://www.mindylacefieldart.com/p/online-workshops_4.html"><span style="color: cyan;">Create Your Own Washi Tape, Stickers & Pouches</span></a>".<br />

I have so many of my doll designs that I love to repurpose into other product, so this class was perfect for me.<br />

I've already ordered a couple of pouches, here's a proof of one of them. This design is vertical, my other design is horizontal - I'm still experimenting with the product layout.<br />

Awhile ago I purchased a heavy duty gullotine cutter so that I could make notebooks with my mixed media art journal pages.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg098Zxg3FPhdgKYQG10dOhdHD_5bOOosYv7rVJlaRoYwlpKxsMQjHv8UP_HHxBL2DjnAZ-7Z4Hk6UQSLdH1RgMFmwY1PeYUXFapKoUPACcbP3v_9R0CHMqDqd3SqvPgP9K6VOooVHJFi9z/s1600/notebooks+2+rows.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1320" height="326" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg098Zxg3FPhdgKYQG10dOhdHD_5bOOosYv7rVJlaRoYwlpKxsMQjHv8UP_HHxBL2DjnAZ-7Z4Hk6UQSLdH1RgMFmwY1PeYUXFapKoUPACcbP3v_9R0CHMqDqd3SqvPgP9K6VOooVHJFi9z/s400/notebooks+2+rows.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
These are about 3" x 4" and fits perfectly into your purse, tote or backpack or a little stocking stuffer. :-)<br />
<br />
These are copies of my art journal pages reduced in size. They're filled with plain white paper.<br />

My sister Frances brought over an Anna Griffin card making kit she had bought. This card is so unique and so easy to make.<br />

I'm on a roll with my shaker doll tags. Since I already had all the supplies handy and I have lots of hand painted faces on-hand, I cranked out lots of new shaker doll tags to sell.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxKDTjYWZY5WcJFfr7JoPhUv56cX1nXyl6p6WXG72Dwa5a6XH77hj5d7U2Wxdaws3kquzcB-T3R35q5Ai9AALALwC5L5xc6AmfreTeqKgE_XkyILmW9NTQI6WpHgR9wEdryAj9MB7lcNGl/s1600/finished+doll+shakers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1488" height="290" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxKDTjYWZY5WcJFfr7JoPhUv56cX1nXyl6p6WXG72Dwa5a6XH77hj5d7U2Wxdaws3kquzcB-T3R35q5Ai9AALALwC5L5xc6AmfreTeqKgE_XkyILmW9NTQI6WpHgR9wEdryAj9MB7lcNGl/s400/finished+doll+shakers.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I came up with an new option for punching the hole at the top. Before I punched the hole directly in her head/hair area, which I wasn't that happy with.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9otWEBQlXwynSWSWz2L8KCSMIYDwpT_FePNhwMTEtWogf_mdZtGb_IYoyAGUVBQVVKNVnVToIIJYUWNh5wALltCHWCGUIjFc9O6Zxd87mfVxQQ7vROR94Roo4RWErbCGN6QvK-P1z7ijV/s1600/dolls+with+black+accent.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="967" data-original-width="1600" height="241" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9otWEBQlXwynSWSWz2L8KCSMIYDwpT_FePNhwMTEtWogf_mdZtGb_IYoyAGUVBQVVKNVnVToIIJYUWNh5wALltCHWCGUIjFc9O6Zxd87mfVxQQ7vROR94Roo4RWErbCGN6QvK-P1z7ijV/s400/dolls+with+black+accent.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
This time, I added these black flowers, stars and circles to the top of the head.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2NljOviy53ZrJCYJoEJCC8-bFZ9U9kh2crRd406AZfQjbJrrJPUurFUvBBdxXv6o0nln0YSPYVC78v7E_XuLnQvDUh_ErL15vC7U8WCBQuHLfO1qXkayQATUHLKA7tmU-LAey6RKr8uU0/s1600/dolls+in+plastic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1055" data-original-width="1600" height="263" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2NljOviy53ZrJCYJoEJCC8-bFZ9U9kh2crRd406AZfQjbJrrJPUurFUvBBdxXv6o0nln0YSPYVC78v7E_XuLnQvDUh_ErL15vC7U8WCBQuHLfO1qXkayQATUHLKA7tmU-LAey6RKr8uU0/s400/dolls+in+plastic.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
And fused around it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHhFuf51FYUMWqzhG7zfwNsxD4r6tW_gewVz4Seh6FSAhyTpcu6nzSc-NK5gM8DgThXP_nEK-w03DynGcERYICNybw9hdGjBXD-qf9-aUKHZ58KPw4FychoCYb_1Z1FARZTtB7Z-4iKHIo/s1600/cutting+words.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="863" data-original-width="1600" height="215" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHhFuf51FYUMWqzhG7zfwNsxD4r6tW_gewVz4Seh6FSAhyTpcu6nzSc-NK5gM8DgThXP_nEK-w03DynGcERYICNybw9hdGjBXD-qf9-aUKHZ58KPw4FychoCYb_1Z1FARZTtB7Z-4iKHIo/s400/cutting+words.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I die cut small words to add to the dolls.<br />

My sisters and I got together last weekend to celebrate some bdays and of course we always want to do a craft project. So this time, we made shaker dolls and tags. These are the finished projects.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRMZQckzFLrGycmOkn694QI13OCKOk3ddCaSVkoi0EXhnUqxks3u1zgSV-5j12B0ufx8TnY5byieoKcbV3jxEFkLn9zwh62W9wdxMu4O1muRTpJEUHrL2liVPO_7Af-9Ckeh5tzsiS7OMi/s1600/finished+shakers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1374" height="313" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRMZQckzFLrGycmOkn694QI13OCKOk3ddCaSVkoi0EXhnUqxks3u1zgSV-5j12B0ufx8TnY5byieoKcbV3jxEFkLn9zwh62W9wdxMu4O1muRTpJEUHrL2liVPO_7Af-9Ckeh5tzsiS7OMi/s400/finished+shakers.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
We used the Tim Holtz vintage photos for those tags on the top row and for the dolls, I water colored the faces and my sisters added the bodies. They all turned out so adorable!<br />
<br />
These are my sisters, so focused on creating. We're so fortunate to all live near each other and enjoy doing many of the same activities - crafting being one of them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6rEKrwO8fRKemkGdNdHEMLuY3uzGnPA_kVGRCd5W7SLnHOP9Xga3LqoJwxm1xDDnkA3fyslUgwV3xO4O0dI2hfzljSHE6AmsCGuHDBIsGvnBLgfRc2-yL8PRUcwVtERz54BPtj1QWrziO/s1600/SAM_0731.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6rEKrwO8fRKemkGdNdHEMLuY3uzGnPA_kVGRCd5W7SLnHOP9Xga3LqoJwxm1xDDnkA3fyslUgwV3xO4O0dI2hfzljSHE6AmsCGuHDBIsGvnBLgfRc2-yL8PRUcwVtERz54BPtj1QWrziO/s400/SAM_0731.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Prior to crafting, we spent several hours cooking our favorite dishes for each other.</div>

We had a delicious lunch and spent quality time hanging out together sharing tips and tricks on cooking.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
For my thank you notes, I wanted to keep with the theme and made shaker thank you cards. I started by making these tags.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBJ6lK-Gfgm9rXB-DvUl-sEh5tECDvDPm4e_X9Jds2qNokvq4hWgRhUlomY_WZDmCzMFX9e8zb3wmObXs2v8EYqLcAAgxTqiSTCFReMqb6VFHJGxbTaaECjOOJNdH0GS4PZX-n0PRfZsr-/s1600/my+thank+you+shakers+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1470" height="293" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBJ6lK-Gfgm9rXB-DvUl-sEh5tECDvDPm4e_X9Jds2qNokvq4hWgRhUlomY_WZDmCzMFX9e8zb3wmObXs2v8EYqLcAAgxTqiSTCFReMqb6VFHJGxbTaaECjOOJNdH0GS4PZX-n0PRfZsr-/s400/my+thank+you+shakers+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I found that adorable doll image from an old doll magazine. I scanned it and reduced it to size. I added my signature metro tissue paper for the bodice.<br />
<br />
I painted some blank white card with acrylic paint, making abstract marks.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB65bhYpLcNADmkB2RMAXUqL-pULFEDXPcTne4JzRNmJKlPf572RhXk4z9i0g-ggg1F_jxdM7-w5siaopjFHqqmR8iFItmIBqXqlyVS9CJxbNy_P4mNl-pNAHqb_oS-HUZ3u_A61N1QawT/s1600/my+thank+you+shakers+mounted+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1338" height="322" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB65bhYpLcNADmkB2RMAXUqL-pULFEDXPcTne4JzRNmJKlPf572RhXk4z9i0g-ggg1F_jxdM7-w5siaopjFHqqmR8iFItmIBqXqlyVS9CJxbNy_P4mNl-pNAHqb_oS-HUZ3u_A61N1QawT/s400/my+thank+you+shakers+mounted+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I attached the shaker tags with washi tape and that was it, a shaker tag thank you card.<br />
<br />
Enjoy the rest of your week!</div>
