Rachel's Nutcracker Performance & Evening in Japan Town SF

This weekend, Rachel performed in one of the dances of the Nutcracker Ballet, the Chinese Tea dance. It's her first performance in pointe shoes! She has two Nutcracker performances this season, this one was a small, free performance for the Oakland community center. Her second performance is at Holly Names College in a couple weeks. Rachel will be performing the Gingersnap dance there.

Wanna see her performance? It's a 1 minute performance (if viewing from work, you might only see a white box, I think some office networks block it out). Rachel is the one in the center.
Saturday, I took a class from Lisa Super. I'll show you pictures from the class later this week. Saturday evening, we went to Japan Town in San Francisco for dinner with some friends. We had dinner at Suzu, our favorite Ramen restaurant. Such pretty decorations in the financial district.

Here's Rachel having a yummy gelato ice cream for dessert in Japan Town.
Check out this dessert window. This is one of the restaurants in Japan Town too. Now that's eye candy!
Rachel hung out with one of her friends today. One of the activities the girls did today was making a gingerbread house. This is what it looks like when you don't follow the instructions regarding letting the icing dry for 15 minutes. It looks like the house that the wolf blew down after a huff and a puff!

  2. Terrific video! Rachel is such a talent, not just as an artist, but a performing artist...good job, Rachel! It's too bad the gingerbread house didn't have the same outcome...but it made for a good laugh!
