Pulp Fashion Exhibit

Today, I went over to San Francisco to the Legion of Honors to see the Pulp Fashion exhibit.  First of all, it was the first time I've ever been to the Legion of Honors, what a beautiful building and site.  Not to mention today was a gorgeous day to be in the city.

A designer from Belgium, Isabelle De Borchgrave, makes these AMAZING clothes from only paper.  I couldn't take any photos inside, but I did buy some note cards with some of her examples.  It's truly mind boggling when you see what she can create out of paper.  You wouldn't believe the detail on the clothes.
She designed the pattern on the square napkin and made that gold necklace from paper on the right.

After the show, we went to Japan Town for ramen noodles.  They opened a new cupcake store...I love this display.
And the cherry trees were in full bloom.

What a beautiful day in the city!

  1. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your pictures of your outing to this beautiful museum. The pics of the paper clothes are awesome and it must have been even more so in person. WoW!

  3. You can't beat a beautiful, sunny day in the City. Did you wear something stylish to the exhibit? It would have been cool to "dress up" and take a photo of yourself in front of one of the columns. I can't wait to see the exhibit myself.
